How to Print

In case you have purchased a digital download, you might want to get some advice on how to get your high resolution JPG file printed in good quality.

Once you have purchased a printable artwork, you will have immediate access to the files. The download link will be shown in an email sent to you shortly after your purchase. Click on the download link to download the file to the harddrive of your computer. Please note that the order confirmation with the download link might end up in your spam folder, so please check your spam folder in case you can't see it in your main inbox. The confirmation order will show my brand name, which is "Lammar Fine Art". It’s recommended to download using a laptop, desktop or tablet, as you may sometimes have trouble downloading onto a phone.

Print sets are in zip files. To unzip, right click on the file and choose “extract all.” Large sets may take time to download depending on your internet connection speed.

The sizes available for each image are detailed in the image’s description ( just click on an image in the shop to access the detailed description and the presentation images). It’s not recommended to print larger than those sizes as this can result in pixelization. In case you want or need a larger file or any other custom size than the ones included in your purchase, please add a note when you purchase the item or send me an email after your purchase. After having purchased a specific file, resizing is always FREE for that listing.

Examples of print sizes
:

If your file has a resolution of 12000 x 12000 pixels, you can print with best quality at:
40" x 40" inches ( 100 x 100 cm) or any other smaller square size

If your file has a resolution of 9000 x 9000 pixels, you can print with best quality at:
30" x 30" inches ( 76 x 76 cm ) or any smaller square print size

If you file has resolution of 9000 x 12000 pixels, you can print with best quality at:
30" x 40" inches ( 76 x 100 cm)
24" x 32" inches ( 61 x 81 cm ) or any smaller size with the same aspect ratio

If you file has a resolution of 7200 x 10800 pixels, you can print with best quality at:
24" x 36" inches ( 61 x 91 cm )
16" x 24" inches ( 41 x 61 cm ) or any smaller size with the same aspect ratio

As a general rule, calculate :   1 inch = 300 pixels;   1 cm = 120 pixels ( at 300 DPI, which is the recommended resolution for high quality art prints)
Example: if the width of your file has 12000 pixels, you may print it at 12000 / 300 = 40" inches ( at 300 DPI) or 12000 / 120 = 100 cm

If you want to be sure to have the exact resolution for a print in cm, you might want to use the following cm to pixels converter
If you use the " cm to pixels converter", make sure to set the resolution at 300 DPI.

To get your file printed with best quality, I recommend using an online printing service or a local print shop. You will have the choice to chose a specific type of high quality paper or canvas and you can chose to get your print framed ( with or without mat) or being stretched on a wooden support ( also with or without frame). In any case, if you need help or advice with the printing process, just let me know and I shall be glad to help.

Please also note that the image colors displayed on your monitor may differ slightly from the actual colors of the print. This is due to the different color profiles used by monitors and printers.

© Finally, let me remind you that each purchased digital artwork is for personal use only.
You can print it as many times as you want, offer a print as a gift to a friend or family member, but you may not use it for commercial purposes.

Online printing services:
My personal recommendation for US-residents is  uprinting.com or icanvas . Local in-store printing options include Costco, Staples, Walmart and Target.
As a resident in Luxembourg or the Greater Region of Luxembourg, I recommend using the printing service at Boesner in Perl ( Germany ).
